Dude, if this was actually a perpetual motion device, it would be the biggest news in science history. It's not. Though in russian, the youtuber mentions in the description that it is being powered by a blow dryer.

There is a fan blowing on this from the direction the camera never shows. perpetual motion is a myth. its a shame that people fall for this sort of stupid.

That's why i said ESSENTIALLY perpetual motion. They clearly didn't teach you English in school. If somehow energy could be harnessed from the earth's orbit, that's energy that could last for millions and millions of years. But I guess millions of years would be no good for you. It's forever or nothing damn it.

The expansion of the universe, is not only perpetual motion, but its perpetually accelerating its expansion speed too. Not only perpetual motion, but an infinite amount of energy. The electrons spinning around an atom are in perpetual motion, and have been since the universe began. This is a scam, but don't you dare tell people to stop dreaming. Perpetual motion already exists, so why would you be naive enough to claim it can't be replicated by humans. Its happening in every aspect of life you have ever encountered. ^thats what they're teaching kids in schools these days. Maybe you should go back.

Orbit? Perpetual motion? Jesus Christ. Are you really that dumb? Just because it is so large that your tiny head can't understand, doesn't mean we could harness energy from it without effecting it. If we did invent a way of harnessing its energy we would cut the time it will take to hit the sun and therefor wipeout the human race prematurely and Michal Jackson would never make his comeback!!

Wonderful, another pleasant Internet user. Yeah I wasn't suggesting we stick windmills in front of earth so earth continually whacks them. If I've learnt anything from science then the things I thought might be impossible may can sometimes be possible. Perpetual motion is simply neve ending motion. Which isn't impossible and I don't understand why people claim it is impossible. If I through a tennis ball into space and it never hit anything, it would fly through space forever. Perpetual motion. Or equally I don't recall electrons being static, they're always active, so aren't electrons in perpetual motion? It's just another thing to get energy from that motion but even so I think there are things that move never-ending, or are perpetually in motion. This may shock you, I'm not Einstein, but I'm willing to dream a little. The future belongs to those that dream. If the world was full of braindead farts like you lot, nothing would be achieved.

The only reason that this is ultra spamming all media as we know it is because the designs we have are not efficient enough to even come remotely close to usable. This design has been around for centuries.

perpetual motion is an object the moves continuously with its only power source being itself, it IS possible and just on this website it has been proven to be, search it and you will find that there is a machine out there that has been in continuous motion and powered by itself for quite some time now. he is and artist and a designer and explains how his art piece is perpetually moving, and sceptics and scientists cant reject it. the only reason these designs are NOT on mass media is because big energy companies who would loose everything would love to keep it from being made and pay big bucks to stop it. however in saying that this may not be perpetual motion but it is cool :)

All people who say that perpetual is impossible, must have access to a 'time machine', and travelled to the end of time, found out that perpetual motion IS Impossible, came back and told us. If 1, or more of the 'laws' of the conservation of energy is broken, ----- too bad --- start again! Anyone got a time machine?
