One man and his headlamp: Photographer travels to remotest parts of Canada to capture the Milky Way in all its glory
When it comes to stargazing, there is only one way to do it right - underneath a clear night sky.
Victor Lui has been travelling around the national parks of Canada in order to spend the night underneath the stars with no one but the odd bird to bother him.
The 33-year-old software programmer uses a self-timer to capture these incredible shots which show him flat on his back, gazing at the stunning Milky Way.
Mr Lui from Calgary, Canada, spends one night a week under the stars - come winter, spring, summer or fall - and his travels have taken him to incredible night-skies such as Abraham Lake, Jasper National Park and Loch Boud Lake.
Victor said: ‘I love adventure, especially in the winter when everywhere is so desolate. These places are not very hard to get to - but I visit them at a time when people don't usually picture them.
‘These are the areas with the least light pollution in Canada and they therefore have the most incredible sights of the stars. I love the night sky, it is a complete transformation and helps you feel connected to the universe.’
