experiment failed. give some non-homeless strangers an unexpected pizza for free and ask them afterwards for a slice. repeat 100 times with different people. now you got a result.

100% of the people who got stuff for free valued the thing less and were more willing to give it away for free. 100% of the people who paid for their own stuff valued it more and were less willing to give it away for free. Some people pretend to be surprised by this.
